1. Who We Are
Aethr Skin ("AETHR", "we", "us", "our") operates the website at aethr.skin and all related services (the "Services").
Our store is hosted on Shopify. References to "our website" or "the Services" include the Shopify-hosted storefront and all features and content available through it.
2. Acceptance of These Terms
By visiting or using our website — whether to browse, create an account, use our skin health features, or make a purchase — you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Where you are purchasing on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business to these terms.
These terms were last updated on 30 June 2026. We recommend that you save or print a copy for your records.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years of age to use our website or purchase from us. By using our Services, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We do not knowingly collect data from or sell to anyone under the age of 16.
Our products are sold for personal, non-commercial use only, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4. Your Account
To access certain features — including our skin health assessment and personalised product recommendations — you will need to create an account. When you register, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current and complete information;
- Keep your login credentials secure and not share them with others;
- Notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account;
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms, used our Services fraudulently, or provided false information during registration.
5. Our Products
We take care to describe our products accurately, including through images, ingredient lists and product information. However, we cannot guarantee that every screen or device will display product images with complete colour accuracy.
Product descriptions, ingredient information and availability are subject to change. We reserve the right to withdraw any product at any time without notice.
Our products are cosmetics intended for topical external use in accordance with the directions provided. They are not medicines or medical devices and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. See section 11 for our important disclaimer regarding skin health recommendations.
6. Pricing
All prices shown on our website are in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Prices do not include delivery charges, which are calculated and displayed at checkout.
We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. The price you pay is the price shown at the point you place your order.
In the event of a pricing error on our website, we are not obliged to fulfil an order at the incorrect price. If we discover a pricing error after you have placed an order, we will notify you promptly and give you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel your order for a full refund.
7. Placing an Order
When you place an order on our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products you have selected at the stated price. A binding contract between us is formed only when we send you an order confirmation by email confirming that your order has been accepted and is being processed.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including where:
- A product is out of stock or no longer available;
- We are unable to verify your payment details;
- We identify a pricing or product description error;
- We reasonably suspect fraudulent activity.
If we cancel your order after payment has been taken, we will refund you in full.
8. Payment
We accept payment through the methods displayed at checkout. Payments are processed securely by Shopify Payments. We do not store your full payment card details — these are handled directly by our payment provider in accordance with PCI DSS standards.
By placing an order, you confirm that the payment details you provide are your own and that you have authority to use the payment method selected. If a payment is not authorised, we will not fulfil the order.
9. Delivery
Delivery options, costs, and estimated timescales will be displayed clearly at checkout before you confirm your order. We will endeavour to dispatch orders within the timescales set out on our website, but we cannot guarantee delivery dates and are not liable for delays caused by circumstances outside our control (including carrier delays or adverse weather).
Risk of loss and damage passes to you when we hand the goods to the carrier. If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at hello@aethr.skin.
10. Cancellations and Returns
10.1 Your right to cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)
If you are a consumer purchasing from our website, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days without giving a reason. The cancellation period begins on the day after you, or a person you nominate, receives the goods.
To exercise your right to cancel, you must notify us before the 14-day period expires. You can do this by:
- Emailing us at hello@aethr.skin with your order number and a clear statement that you wish to cancel; or
- Using any cancellation form or process available in your account.
10.2 Exceptions to the right to cancel
The right to cancel does not apply to goods that are sealed for health protection or hygiene reasons and which have been unsealed after delivery. Because our skincare products come into contact with skin, products that have been opened or used cannot be returned unless they are faulty or not as described.
Products that are still sealed in their original packaging remain eligible for return within the 14-day cancellation window.
10.3 Returning goods
If you cancel your order, you must return the goods to us without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the day on which you informed us of your decision to cancel. You are responsible for the cost of returning goods unless the goods are faulty, not as described, or we have agreed otherwise.
10.4 Refunds
We will process your refund within 14 days of receiving the returned goods, or within 14 days of you providing evidence that you have returned the goods, whichever is earlier. We will refund you using the same payment method you used to place the order, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise.
We reserve the right to reduce the refund amount to reflect any diminishment in the value of the goods caused by your handling of them beyond what is necessary to inspect them.
10.5 Faulty or not as described
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If your product is faulty or not as described, you have the right to a repair, replacement or refund. Please contact us at hello@aethr.skin with your order number and a description of the issue.
11. Skin Health Recommendations — Disclaimer
AETHR's product recommendations and ingredient guidance are based on published ingredient research and UV science. They arenot medical adviceand are not provided by or reviewed by dermatologists, medical doctors or any other qualified healthcare professionals.
If you have a skin condition, are taking prescription medication, or have any medical concern, please consult a qualified healthcare professional before acting on any recommendation made by AETHR.
11.1 Nature of our recommendations
Our website and, where applicable, our personalised skin health features provide information and product recommendations based on:
- Publicly available ingredient and UV research;
- Information you provide about your skin type, concerns, sensitivities and circumstances (where you choose to share it).
Our recommendations are intended to help you select products from our range that are most likely to suit your skin. They are a starting point, not a clinical assessment. We make no representation that our recommendations will be suitable for every individual or that they will produce any specific result.
11.2 Prescription medications
Some of our content and recommendations reference the potential interaction between certain skincare ingredients and prescription medications — in particular photosensitising treatments such as retinoids (including tretinoin). This information is drawn from published research and is provided for general educational awareness only.
If you are using any prescription skincare treatment, including retinoids, or any other prescription medication that may affect your skin or its sensitivity, you must follow the guidance of your prescribing doctor or dermatologist. Their instructions take precedence over any recommendation made by AETHR. If you are unsure how any product interacts with your medication or treatment, please seek professional advice before purchasing or using our products.
11.3 Research citations
Where we reference published studies, clinical surveys or research findings, we do so for general informational purposes. Such references do not constitute endorsement of any specific product claim, nor do they mean that the research cited supports the use of our specific products for any medical or therapeutic purpose.
11.4 Personalised recommendations
Where you choose to use our skin health features, our recommendations are generated automatically based on the information you provide. Our system is not a substitute for a professional dermatological or medical consultation. Skin conditions change over time; if your circumstances change — including your health, medication, or skin condition — we recommend reviewing your profile and, where appropriate, seeking professional advice.
11.5 Allergic reactions and sensitivities
Even products formulated to minimise irritation may cause reactions in some individuals. We recommend performing a patch test before first use of any new product. If you experience an adverse reaction, discontinue use immediately and seek medical advice if necessary.
12. Intellectual Property
All content on the AETHR website — including but not limited to text, product descriptions, ingredient analyses, research summaries, graphics, logos, brand names, the "AETHR" name, trade marks, and the design of our website and skin health features — is owned by or licensed to Aethr Skin and is protected by intellectual property law.
You may access and use our website content for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not reproduce, copy, redistribute, publish, scrape, or use any content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.
Nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.
13. Acceptable Use
When using our website, you agree not to:
- Use the website in any way that violates applicable law or regulation;
- Transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our website, our servers, or any system or network connected to them;
- Introduce viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other malicious or technologically harmful material;
- Use automated tools (including bots, scrapers or crawlers) to collect data from our website without our prior written consent;
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
- Use our website in a way that could harm, disable, overburden or impair it;
- Use our skin health features to input data about a third party without their knowledge and consent.
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate your access to the website if we reasonably believe you have breached these acceptable use obligations.
14. Third-Party Services and Links
Our website is built on Shopify's platform. Shopify may collect and process information about your visit in accordance with their own privacy policy. You can learn more at shopify.com/legal/privacy.
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or resources. These are provided for your information and convenience only. We have no control over the content, privacy practices or availability of those sites and accept no responsibility for them. Following any such link is at your own risk.
Any third-party research, surveys or publications we reference are the property of their respective owners. Their inclusion does not imply any affiliation, endorsement or partnership.
15. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; any breach of your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015; or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
Subject to the above, we will not be liable to you for:
- Any loss of profit, revenue, business, anticipated savings, data or goodwill;
- Any indirect, consequential or special loss;
- Loss or damage arising from your reliance on any ingredient information, research references or product recommendations provided on our website, save where caused by our negligence;
- Loss or damage arising from your failure to follow our product instructions or to seek professional medical advice where appropriate;
- Any interruption or unavailability of our website;
- Loss caused by events outside our reasonable control.
Where we are liable to you, our total liability in connection with any order will not exceed the price you paid for that order.
If you are a consumer, these limitations do not affect your statutory rights.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes) are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute.
If you have a complaint about our products or services, we encourage you to contact us first at hello@aethr.skin so that we can try to resolve the matter directly.
If we cannot resolve a dispute, you may also be entitled to use an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) scheme. We will provide details of any approved ADR scheme we subscribe to on our website and in our order confirmation emails.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our products, or applicable law. We will post the revised terms on our website and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
If we make a material change that affects your rights, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you — for example by email or by displaying a notice on our website. Your continued use of the website after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
